I knew immediately when I gently took the first steps on the yoga path, that a long, beautiful, soothing and probably also challenging path of yoga would continue for me.

In Thailand I followed classes with teachers who are still dear to my heart. One of the main things that they gave me is the will to deepen my yoga practice. I did a 1st & 2nd Reiki degree in Thailand. Then I went to India where I followed the teacher training course at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Dhanwantari Ashram in Neyyar Dam, Kerala. In the summer of 2014 I went to the Sivananda Yoga Ashram in Orleans, France. This is where I did my ATTC (Advanced Teacher Training Course).

With much joy I have been teaching at Yoga Maya according to the Sivananda tradition for almost 4 years! On Tuesday morning I teach a class that is open to every student. On Wednesday evening I also teach a beginners class. I love teaching this class because I truly believe we all need to begin at the beginning. It will reflect in your practice in long term as well as the short term. So if your not in the position to follow the Sivananda beginners course, my class offers a good alternative.

On Wednesday evening I also teach the meditation class. The main focus is on the seven chakras. Several techniques are discussed. Why I love that too? Because being quiet together in itself is wonderful. Even if thoughts are racing through your head and keeping them quiet might be difficult, the collective silence helps very much.
